The original 9 Trucks, all owned by Vietnam Vets, line up on College Avenue! RU Hungry?, Mr. D’s, King of the Road, Jordan’s, Hungry Eye, Rutgers Café, Road Deli, Sunrise Truck and Mr. C’s would make up the original pack!!!

The premier of the first FAT SANDWICH is heralded on campus and will be forever known as the FAT CAT!!!

“The Grease Trucks”, as they’re now known around campus, are taken off the street and find a home in Lot 8 at the corner of College Ave. and Hamilton Street!!!

Now down to 8 trucks the 24 hour operation is split days and nights with 4 trucks servicing each 12 hour shift. Soon, even though you would still be able to find us at the corner of Lot 8, Rutgers University would modify our hours of operation to be from 6:00 A.M. to 2:00!!!

Ayman Elnaggar becomes owner of the premier “Grease Truck”, RU Hungry?. Through his ingenuity Ayman will make RU Hungry? known around the world!!!

The RU Hungry? Challenge, Eat 5 Fat Sandwiches in 45 minutes, takes on its first victim! Our students rise to the occasion... Many will try, few will succeed!!!

Now down to just 5 remaining “Grease Trucks”, RU Hungry? makes the transition to our iconic trailer now offering a diversified menu with many more options for our students, faculty & fans!!!

Adam Richman of TV’s Man vs. Food came out to take the Eat 5 in 45 RU Hungry? Challenge but sadly for him, the food won!
